Hello,

I am still using thea for sketchup 1.5. But now i have installed SU2019 and when i reinstall Thea for Sketchup 1.5 he doesn't see the new SU.
Is this a problem, or must i go to the v2 version of Thea.

Or is there a trick to let it work with SU2019
When i nothing learn then i am dead, but i am a live and kicking so i learn every day

I'm almost completely certain that support for V1.5 is no longer available, so you'll have to buy V2 if you want to use SUp 2019.

Don’t forget to keep an older version of SU around so that you can still have access to 1.5. There is no Studio in 2.0, and there are serious material compatibility issues between 1.5 and 2.0. You can have both 1.5 and 2.0 installed, but they have to be in different versions of SU.

Is there a target date for a release of studio 2.0? I tend to set up my renders in SU and then finish the work in Studio so i can draw other things while the render is cooking.. Just bought thea for Sketchup 2.0 not realizing there were incompatibilities that are still in the process of being solved

Anybody’s guess. I don’t think it is even clear that there WILL be a Studio 2.0. If there were, the main material incompatibility issue would go away in that, presumably, Studio 2.0 would import 1.5 materials, and there would no longer be a need for 2.0 materials to be compatible with 1.5 (because everyone would likely be using Studio 2.0). It is not some incompatibility problem being resolved that is delaying Studio 2.0, it is something else...

Hmm - I wish that were more clear on the website while purchasing, I would have at least waited to upgrade if not consider another render solution that had a plug in and a stand alone option (not that I want to). I just figured existing users would be taken care of. I hope ultimately we will in that regard - I have enjoyed using this product and making it a big part of my workflow.

Can you recommend someone working on the standalone I could give that feedback to?
