i am impressed with the denoise features in thea render for sketchup

Release for vs 2.0 is towards the end of this month, nothing was said about pricing.

Cetain AMD cards with open GL are now supported on WIN, no MAC OS

Tone Mapping showed a few profiles, but only the filmic tone mapping was shown during the presentation.

Hoping that for existing users the "update" price will be discounted...
NovEdge has some info about their pricing

upgrade https://novedge.com/products/11106 (although I'm not entirely sure this upgrade is concerning V2)

All updates to Thea v1.x releases were always free of charge and there never was an upgrade product on sale either. So by pure Vulcan logic, this is an upgrade license from v1.5 > 2.

Since all v1 version updates were free of charge for existing license owners, how can it be possible to charge an upgrade cost of what to what?

This looks like an error of the listing from the reseller.

I'm a long-time supporter of this software.
I have relied on it since I started my business nearly 10 years ( :o ) ago.

One fundamental aspect of my experience with this software is its first class customer relationship.
I often hope real life would resemble my experience with the Thea team over the years!

Still, I must admit I'm confused by this forum which evolved from a comforting place to a nonsensical rumour mill.

Though I regret this recent change, my confidence level in Giannis, Tomasz and the entire team has always been so high I'm still confident it can be restored with v2.0.

It seems like it's coming soon: I'm already thankful and hope it will help Thea grow even more.

Anyway, thank you for your hard work!
Keep it going!

Because that price is for 1.5, its not the end of the month. But Anthony's note would make that indeed upgrade for v2. Thats a really unsuspeected price.

Considering that Apple deprecated OpenCL and shifted to Metal for compute and real-time rendering this will require additional development. Much like Thea, every piece of software will need considerable re-development if they are to modernize themselves to capitalize upon the benefits of Metal.
THis is yet due to happen, new OS release is fall i believe. Thats still some month ahead.

Wow 2 years in the making and 2 new features, Filmic tonemapping and denoiser and isn't most of that code open source?
I guess I was right, they have spent all the time integrating Thea into Solid Thinking.

I really thought there was going to be some amazing new features, maybe the sketchup demo didn't show all the new features ? Here's hoping.
