You can alway manually paint one or find one inline and edit that to a good mask.

I agree with Lotfi, I, too, cannot understand exactly how to create fake caustics as shown in that pdf.

Yes, George we know you've been quite busy but, if you got the time to go through the steps of page 10 of the manual in a video tutorial.... that would be very helpful.3DCGdesign wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 2:15 pm I agree with Lotfi, I, too, cannot understand exactly how to create fake caustics as shown in that pdf.

Thanks for the follow-up, George!
Now I understand why I couldn't get it to work - I was in Thea4SU, I very rarely/almost never use Thea Studio in my workflow. But may have to start until I get V2.

In Thea Studio 1.5 I opened and rendered the test scene but I get a very slow rendering blurry mess.
What am I doing wrong?
I just opened scene and hit "render"
The "current View" camera properties does NOT have DOF enabled, but I can't get it to render focused... even with Autofocus checked.
feel like an idiot here.
Correction - setting Current View fnumber to Pinhole and choosing auto-focus now renders clear scene.
