Hi Thea lovers,
thanks for all the help i have received so far, but as they say that once u have solved a problem a new challenge comes up, same is the case here

I am using Thea plugin with rhino, and am getting the output. But it seems that my environment is making a pattern of reflection on the jewelry as shown in the attachment, this happens especially with when the jewelry is rounded and not flat, would want to have a black shadow instead of a pattern

Anyone can please help with the solution

Hi!
It would be best to post in Thea for Rhino section next time.

Can you please share a screenshot of the environment tab?

Greetings,
George

Is this UV unwrapped properly?

Also you can try to add different Refelction map to get different reflection than how its lit.

What does the IBL image look like can you post a screenshot. My guess its a box with lights from 4 sides.
But i also think you mesh is model wrong, i believe the star in the middle is cause of pinching. You have probably some kind of star shape here. 1 Vertice with a lot of connections

Well its exactly showing you what is there???

So try a different one in the reflection channel like i said earlier ;) Each slot will have its own effect on the object.

Have you tried something from the HDRI Studio IBL package...?

Or try the Redspec TGX package or the HDRI Pack 1 by zbyg...

You can find plenty of good IBL's on the Internet... :)
Go ahead and make a search... ;)
Cheers
