mmm,,,, my set up could render it interactively, and not render it in dark room it kept having graphic card problems,

maybe I wait till NVidia get rid of all there old stock of titans and bring out the gtx 780ti with 6 gb vram and invest again on new cards

copy from a post I found on the web

Nvidia Prepping the GTX 780 Ti 6GB Edition for Launch – Waiting for Titan Inventory to Clear Up.
We have just received information that AIC Partners are waiting for the GTX Titan inventory to clear up. After that happens the GTX 780 Ti 6 GB will be released. The stock of the GTX Titan is already in a somewhat slow trickle state because of the launch of the GTX 780 Ti. We believe that one of the major reasons why no 6GB version has been released yet is so that people still have sufficient reason to buy the GTX Titan. According to our sources as soon as the GTX Titan Inventory Status clears up the 780 Ti 6GB Variant will start shipping.
Of course 6GB of VRam will allow the 780 Ti to utilize its full potential. We have seen that the Ti’s 3GB Memory causes some serious bottle-necking in some games while in 4k Resolution. We see that the Current Gaming trend is moving towards a 4k Standard and where resolution is concerned, the more VRam, the merrier. Not only that, but with the increased VRam, SLI configurations should gain more power. Ofcourse, professionals would gain the most benefit from the added memory, but for some reason or the other , the 780 Ti is just not as good with Compute as the Titan is.
We expect that the GTX 780 Ti 6GB Edition should start shipping in a short time span.

it works (all be it very slowly) with my crappy Quadro 600.. even if that didn't work it still renders as Presto CPU only, which is what I would normally use seeing as I'm in the GPU embarrassed way
You are using the most recent Thea? v1.3.04.1055
Just for the record I'm using the 331.65 drivers and a 3770k i7 with 8 gb ram

It is very surprising if this scene crashes with 1.3.04, especially since we have setup and extensively tested it. :)

I wouldn't like to blame the driver, but yes, could you please check using a reference driver (whql)?

Best wishes

nVidia driver crashes with me also on this scene. nVidia driver is Version 332.21 running on a GTX 770

I have Thea 1.3.05 Build 1055 installed running on Windows 8.1 64 bit. When it crashes it comes up with and Error Code 3 from nVidia.

I was having this same crash happen on another scene of mine that seemed to be related to having some displacement enabled on some of my materials. Once I disabled all displacement it solved the problem with that scene.

This scene does not seem to have any displacement enabled. On this scene it seems to be related to the "medium" being enabled. When I disable the nVidia driver does not crash.

driver version 331.82 which has been stable since November 2013 tried latest one yesterday and it chrashed all the time in other programs apart from thea as well so I re installed 331.82 and that's stable apart from this scene, it rendered presto ao in darroom , ( no god rays), and crashed presto mc
none of this is a problem for me as it all works fine for what I need it to :)

here is the last part of the consol log, first trying presto ao then mc if it is of any use for you

I can confirm this scene crashes Nvidia, I have a Titan with up to date drivers and this scene only works if device is set on low or lower, setting it on high crashes display driver (Nvidia warning with screen black out)
