Dear friends,
our HDRI IBL Studio library is now available! A set of 20 high quality HDRI Studio for Image Based Lighting to illuminate your models. During installation, a new sub folder called "HDRI IBL Studio" is created under Skies data folder.
The HDRI have been setup with Darkroom exposure and display settings for easy drag/drop right into your Studio scene. The library can be installed and used only by licensed customers within Thea Render context [Copyright (C) - Solid Iris Technologies].
How to install the library
1. Go to our forum page that contains the library download links:
http://www.thearender.com/forum/viewtop ... 111&t=7011
2. The above requires that you are a member of the licensed user club (if not, please send us an e-mail with your forum nickname along with your order id or reseller info).
3. Download the library somewhere on your hard disk (please, be patient, since these libraries are not small!)
4. You can launch Thea Studio and open the downloaded file (on Windows, you can more easily double click on the file from the explorer).
5. You have to agree on the license agreement before going on (which is the same updated licensed agreement as for Thea Render itself).
6. Then click on the check button and the necessary files will be copied to your Skies data folder (you can also change this default location).
7. Congratulations, now you have the library installed!
Important: library installation requires Thea revision 945 or above.
best wishes
You can see below some renders using only the HDRI for illumination.

I quickly tested them and it looks like a great treat for all of Thea users! Thanks a lot!
Maybe I miss a little preview of each ibl and the intensity of each ibl is different, you need to lower it to .1 or .2 for some of them around the C. studio 7 and above.
But seriously, it's a great gift: I really appreciate a lot all the hard work you're puttin gin Thea!
Thanks for everything!

First of all, thank you very much. This is really a great bonus!
One thing about darkroom settings (I understand included in the .sky.thea files.)
The right workflow is only drag and drop from the libray?
Double clicking, or contextual menu - Apply also loads the .sky.thea file, but not the darkroom settings, wich remain as they were in the darkroom panel but (here is the problem) seems to be applied to the render until you change some darkroom setting. Then the render turns from the .sky.thea settings (not shown) to the ones shown in the darkroom, wich is a bit confusing.

Ah.... small bug indeed there but annoying. The darkroom controls are not refreshed with the new values.
This is fixed now (RV951 and after) that will come with the next update.
Best wishes

Daz Studio models import, they work better from Daz to Max however (less textures to fix and rigged)
I think the ones Patrick uses are 3D scans

Probably a dumb question, but the downloaded file results in:
HDRI Studio IBL.lib.zip
I tried opening this with WinZip, 7-Zip, and Windows Explorer, but it reports the file is invalid. I checked the downloaded size and it appears about right.
Just want to check before I try downloading again: Am I supposed to rename this .zip file as something more Thea-specific, like .pack or .thea? When I tried to open this file from within Thea as the instructions suggest, .zip is not a recognized extension. Same if I try importing it.
Thanks for any help.
