Total off-topic since it has nothing to do with Thea but at the end of the day I remember the feedback and ideas coming from the old-friends of this forum. So I'll paste the press release on this first post.

MOTIVA RELEASES LAYAMA
With a promo price that will increase by 1€ per day.

Everyone loves VR visualizations, but unfortunately, they have some major drawbacks: they need high-end devices and creating this kind of project is difficult and costly and after all, you still probably won't get the same quality.

In brief, real-time is expensive and not portable at all, that's why lots of people still use old fashioned 360 tours, they are cheap, lightweight and they retain the maximum quality you can achieve.

Motiva Layama closes that gap between 360s and VR by transforming your 3d projects into a pseudo-VR webpage, it keeps all the advantages of the 360s but includes a much natural navigation system, camera movements, in addition to this the creation of this projects is even much faster and easier than making that 360s.

Layama is not only a substitute to VR in some cases exporting your existing scenes from 3dsmax (Blender and C4D to come) but also a complement to your VR services since you can export your existing Unreal projects into Layama too.

How does it look for you?

It is not a super-big software package but I think that it could be pretty useful for some people.

It doesn't like MS Edge very much, its slow so the zoom effect looks weird, Chrome however is a lot faster and the zoom looks great

It looks a really very good to me. Do you have to create all those spherical renders or how does it link with Thea?

Congratulations Victor. Very nice idea.

I miss a small graphics indication that I can jump into a specific location, say after 0.5 s hoovering over an area. I click and sometimes I hit an "active" area, sometimes I don't.

An initial direction of viewing in a given spot, could be based on the direction I start the movement from. At the moment, it looks the camera doesn't follow it. It tends to "rotate away", hence the "walking" sensation is not that good. It is very visible when entering the living room from the corridor.

Cursors works better in this regard.

I agree with Tomasz. I intuitively click on the floor to go to a place but that results in the camera facing the floor. It would be better if it would keep eye level.

We are pretty well other products like MUS were acquired by Epic (they called it Datasmith), Anima is growing a lot, and we are still making 3d renderings as always.

Btw I didn't have any issue with Edge :(

As I said this is totally offtopic (Corner bar) since Thea is not supported at all.

Yes, probably I should change the cursor to a more clear one.

I'm interested in how many 360 images are used for that scene?
And how is the animation made?
Is it a morph between images or what? Looks sometimes like some projected images on low res 3d in the transition?
Are there any tutorials or getting started to learn by?

That apartment used 45 if I remember correctly.

It uses 3D that is made from the images.
Are there any tutorials or getting started to learn by?
I'll try to record them this evening, but remember that there is no Thea support.
