Would you mind sending me the scene? I would love to have a look at it. Send an email at support@thearender.com.
Make sure that you save the scene with all the dependencies. Open Thea Browser, click on the "Box" icon and create an archive of the scene.

Thank you.
Okay, I do it now, thanks for your interest

It seems unusual to me to obtain more satisfying results with a free software like Blender (Cycles)
Those are the kind of results I would have expected if I were setting up the scene in Thea. As DavePSB says, it looks like you've used really high AO settings.

So, I had a look in the scene and here is the image and my feedback. I had to remove all exterior objects to make the viewport faster but I think that they are missing from blender too.
  • Ambient Occlusion has been removed since it was making the image look flat.
  • I changed the RGB values of the white material on the wall which was using a value of 255. I changed it 220.
  • I made the emitter material of the downlights passive since you already had a Thea Spotilight there.
  • I removed Displacement from the brick surface and assigned the corresponding Normal map from Texture Haven.
  • I changed the IBL image with a free one which always gives nice results (https://gumroad.com/l/FREENVA)
  • Sun was disabled since the IBL's sun was enough.
  • After adjusting the Display Settings for the IBL, I disabled it and adjusted the intensity for the spotlights and pointlights.
  • Display Settings and Filtering have been adjusted. Less sharpness, filmic values
You can go on and further adjusting the intensity of the Thea Spotlights to your liking.

Let me know what you think.

Best,
George

Much nicer than the Blender results IMO George. I'd maybe increase the ISO a little, but that's a minor tweak and a matter of personal preference.

George, i think your result is definitely better than mine. Now I do some tests using your suggestions. Thank you!

Thanks George, I like a little ambient occlusion, how can I put a low value, but what signs, for example, the intersection between two walls?

another question, does the "Presto" bucket rendering engine take a long time?

If you know how many samples you need to get a clean render in theory it should be faster..
Do an area render on a part of your scene that takes time to clear and see how many samples is required

Well, this is up to you. Low distance values might create a very defined edge in occluded areas and it might not be something that you like. Another example is the darkering on the office chair caused by the desk. In the second image the distance is too low to reach it.
