Did some tests doing package modelling, trying to get better at it. I slacked to gather a packaging design from image from intern and made a nice layout. Did some modelling in Blender and some tiny contrast and colour adjustments in Photoshop.

Material is o 3 layers, soft diffuse with soft reflection, small parts have metal finish and some parts have coating to mimic UV coating used with printing.

Looks quite nice, now trying to get more details on it and finding all kinds of methods to do so.

Here's another nice scene im working on. This is used with Thea4Blender and im styling the materials currently. Im trying to help Frederik a bit :)

Textures needed some work and model also needed some extra materials.

Its still a WIP as im not satisfied with all mats. Interior is basically 1 mat and i want them to have dedicated mats

Its really a wip as the main shots doesnt even show this car really nice. Perhaps from a different angle it will. Here's a little progress. Still need to do tons of mats :)

I was busy last couple days converting an Blender addon to the new 2.08 version. I think tomorrow i can do some more work

Sort of metal / steel. Simple glossy mat with tex for reflection to get the color and than a tex for roughness. To get a bit duller look i added in a basic layer with a very soft metal look, so IOR 1.5 for that. Than i placed the Basic layer above and use the same tex i used for the color of the glossy to mask out the metal on the weight layer. I set it to saturation -100 so you get a Black/white image and played with brightness and contrast abit to get stronger/softer mask effect for the layer weight. Where white will show the basic layer and black will show the metal (glossy) below. Check the attached mat.pack, thought the textures are model depending in this case. You can simply replace them.

It can be better, for this shot its okay but actually doesnt look like some metal or steel.

I didnt really pay attention to IOR numbers, because you hardly will notice it. Also checking all number takes to much time ;)

Ive attached the mat, so you can check it.
