Wow!

I must say I'm always pleased to witness people's skills and SandroS's views and now this splash screen contest: thank you all for this great load of inspiration!

I wouldn't like to have to choose... Can't there be several splash screens?

Here's my go. I did miss 24 hours of work (and 200 extra passes) due to the fact that today is my Mother in Law's birthday...which i forgot about...kinda. I think i should at least win a Medal of Bravery for that ;-)

That being said, my work is called 'Who the **** ate my beans'.
I tried to stick as close to THEA as possible so i only used the standard materials. There's a wee bit of pp in the saturation department.

peace out.

2) this is how it should look - chameleon added in PS (no time/skill to model that well)

Image
3) how the standard splash would look

PS - Pistus great idea - a winning idea

Here is some I was thinking of. No Chameleon in it, but it kind of shows off what it can do.
Post editing was used with masks to get the effect.

After seeing a lot of entries nearly at the end of time, we decided to give a small deadline extension; the final submit date is now pushed to 14th September, so that voting can start on 15th.

best wishes

Although the entry looks great, I am afraid that we won't include that (due to being photoshop work).

That is a really interesting idea.
