Thank you Solo!
I was playing around with Thea's auto focus and found that it works very well, this model is a low polygon, and the displace map worked very well too!

Well here's my entry. Nothing changed compared to the former one, but i had the pleasure of 300 more passes. Shame really, compared to the other renders i really need to add more oomph. (but that won't happen before the 15th ;-) )

Wow very nice job there!
I first thought I'd find some time to participate but finally...
IMO the Stu-dio approach is the good one by far: Nothing too spectacular, fresh image and nice graphism. It gets a very professionnal and tasty look. After all the Chameleon beast is not a so sexy one ;) why would it be the center of composition. In fact it should stay a sort of allegory Playing with its skin, and skin colors is sufficent to give this Thea versatile taste.
Just my opinion of course but... ;)
I appreciate Eph work on the logo

1) rendered in thea - text etc InDesign

2) this is how it should look - chameleon added in PS (no time/skill to model that well)

3) how the standard splash would look

PS - Pistus great idea - a winning idea
hi buddy,

I liked it - and took it on-board, you didn't notice?? I made the colours deeper - not sure about black - but that's just me. If we keep the colours it's a nice way to easily identify with each product. One thing though am not sure where you are getting the orange from - you mentioned it part of Thea's colour scheme - the colour scheme I'm getting is definitely red on my monitor - having said that - orange and black always marry very well

Found this contest too late. No time to model or render. So just a fast PS compilation as an concept.

PS and you definitely need a space between Thea and Render otherwise it kinda reads The Arender - and loses it's meaning - "Thea" in greek means Aunty but it also symbolizes someone with whom you trust and is all wise, providing and protecting... at least that is my findings living here.

Well if im c orrect it started out more orange like and turned later on to the red tint. To bad you cant really compete with the image cause it has to muc ps work done to it :) hahaha but i used as my own splash screen already:

It's just a screenshot of the current logo.

Hi  , thanks for the comments.
I tried another colorfull variation for default splash style, and simple design of entire splash screen in Gimp (it would be better).
I hope you like it.
