Although not by a large margin Revit is surely taking the lead.
are you working towards that end or is that still off the table?
Vray recently took the challenge and their offer is basic for now.
enscape is doing a nice job as well though not my style.

although I still use Thea4SU I am using revit more and more.
your community would like to know if you have any concrete plans at the moment.
Thanks,

It has been a while since this poll was implemented, Things are changing and new options are available.
I believe we need to add Unreal to the list.

Many will wonder what the hell I'm talking about as Unreal is not a modelling software per say, I do not mean I want to render with a Thea engine in Unreal, I want to export from Thea to Unreal.

Imagine we could set up our scene in Thea, either studio of one of the plugins like The4C4D or Thea4SU, using Thea material editor, lighting, etc and then export to Unreal for completion and animation/VR. The2U4 will create UV maps, light maps and convert Thea mats to Unreal.

+1 for that. It makes total sense.

All our proxies and mat libraries, all our thea workflow, with UE as a bonus would be better than Thea developing it's own realtime render solution.

UE is the ideal complement to Thea arsenal and right now we have to choose either going with thea or realtime renderers. This would allow for both.

I really fully support the idea.

I vote Revit....im a 9 hour a day revit user, and other then enscape we dont have many options worth following. Sure they have other renderers like maxwell and simlab, but Thea would be much needed.

Hey Solo....from the enscape forum :-)

Only just stumbled across your post, Solo. And I am 100% with you!

One of the main reasons why I got invested in Thea is the fact that it offers unbiased as well as biased render methods within one software - so no need to set up a scene twice.

Offering a Thea2U4 plugin would do just that for realtime rendering. So once we've set up our Scene for Thea, we would get a properly textured model into Unreal without additional work. This would give Thea a huge advantage compared to other solutions.

So if I had one wish for the next version of Thea, this would be it!
