That's interesting because it is a good comparison between Ti and not Ti. Fairly significant difference.

Anyone know what the Ti actually means? Why are Ti cards better than not Ti?

Ti = titanium and is used to denote the "premium-ness" of the GPU in question. Use started back in the days of Geforce 3.
