The Nitro engine is GPU-only and takes advantage of the raytracing cores for improved performance. Nitro also supports all GPU vendors (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and has native support for macOS.


  • Tracing depth: Increasing this parameter may be necessary for certain cases where there are a lot of mirrors or dielectrics in the scene, but it has a direct impact on render times
  • Volumetric: Enables / disables volumetric globally
  • Multiple lights sampling: Improves noise convergence in scenes with many lights
