Uninstalling Thea for SketchUp
To uninstall Thea for SketchUp:
- Open the Extension Manager window
- Click on Manage
- Find Thea for SketchUp and click on Uninstall
Deleting the Thea Data folder
IMPORTANT
- Write down the path to the Thea Data folder before removing Thea for SketchUp.
- The Thea Data folder contains all of your Materials, Models and Custom LUTs. Make sure to make a backup of the folder before deleting it.
Even if you uninstall the Thea for SketchUp plugin, the Thea Data folder will not be removed from your system. Here is how to find the path to the Thea Data folder:
- Open the Thea Browser window.
- Click on Thea folders.
- Find the link at the bottom bar of the Thea Browser window.
- Manually delete the Thea Data folder.

How to unistall Thea for SketchUp when both v2 and v3 are installed?
Uninstalling v3:
- Make sure that version 3 is active.
- Proceed to the uninstallation by following the steps at the beginning of the page.
- Do the same to uninstall the Thea Switch plugin as well. Do no restart SketchUp.
- Go to Extensions > Thea Switch and switch to v2.
- Restart SketchUp.
- Thea for SketchUp v2 is now active.
Uninstalling v2:
- Make sure that version 2 is active.
- Proceed to the uninstallation by following the steps at the beginning of the page.
- Do the same to uninstall the Thea Switch plugin as well. Do no restart SketchUp.
- Go to Extensions > Thea Switch and switch to v3.
- Restart SketchUp.
- Thea for SketchUp v3 is now active.
