Textures can be layered and blended together to generate complex results using any bitmap, color or procedurals as layers.
To start layering textures:
A new texture layer will be added on top of the previous one. Deleting and moving layers is exactly the same as in Layers.
Each layer (except the one that is at the bottom) has two blending modes. Multiply and Add . You can switch between them by clicking on their icons.
The Texture Layer percentage can only be changed when blending is in Add mode.
Texture layering can also be used to randomly assign texture layers to model instances (Groups / Components / Proxies). To start using this option, follow these steps:
A new layer will be added on top of the existing one. You can control the probability of each layer by adjusting the Texture Layer's weight percentage.
To understand whether you are in Mix or Randomize With mode, look at the header. If you are in "Randomize With..." mode the word "Random" is added to the header title.
