Hi,

I share a project done with rhino to show you the power of rhino with thea together. It's a massive model with a huge amount of polygons, but with thea's instancing capacities it renders in no time. It's not my favourite work, it's only to show how powerful the combination of rhino with thea is. The model was so big that navigating in rhino was impossible with all the layers on. I thought I had to export in multiple stages to not crash the exporter but the exporter laughed at me, exported in 5 or 10 seconds and not one uv-problem or anything that was missing. Therefore I thought I should share it even if it's not gallery stuff.

In case someone asks: It's a floating harbour, a mobile city with mobile houses. It was just a part of a theory about mobile cities.

(the non photorealistic look was asked by the teacher)

The Vegetation looks astounding... And the concept seems really innovative...

Same here!
Third image is nearly ready if the face-me components had proper clipping (there is a white halo around them) and no faceting on the roofs.

thanks for the comments. For the trees I didn't use face me components, those are 3d low poly trees but the translucency was a bit too much I think and I adjusted some colors in post so maybe it makes it worse. The faceting on the roof is on purpose it's because of the way it's must be construced, if you look closely those are square facets, no triangles.

here are some more I did for fun. The houses are weirdly illuminated and the trees are still a bit too translucend but I must stop playing with this model because other work is waiting :(
