The first component of a modern 6-bottle pressurized Wine Cuvenee System I'm developing for VinMod. I'll post more images of it actually hooked up in an environment later this weekend - this was just a test render as I was completing the first component (shot in a photo studio I built recently). The shadows are a mix of sharp and soft (since some types of photography lighting are sharp and some are soft).

C&C always appreciated.

More tests... This one with a bit more geometry added. some Mat changes. I fixed the "chrome" base piece (the geometry was a single face - I gave it some thickness which cleared up the visualization problem it was having). Used Relight to adjust the brigtness of the photography lighting. Used an emitter plane behind the camera with a JPG of a photostudio setup to cast light and reflections. if you look closely at the globe, you can see the reflection of the "studio" geometry (lighting stands, camera, tripod, etc...) as well as the "studio Emitter" clearly. A bit of Lighting PostProduction.

Hope you like it... I'll be posting the assembled group later today or tomorrow when Its finished. Any advice on the photo-realism anyone?

Thanks!

Bradley

nice render :)
not sure about the bottles, the cap part looks abit "3D" but I've never seen anything like it to compare

hi,
is this a concept that will turn into a real-life object?
it's getting better & better.
the only crit is that, it seems to me, you will have stability problems.
the spheres will easily drop down.
maybe you should try to mount them on a tripod, or with a chain of connected spheres

George,

Actually the globes are affixed to the bartop via a thru-mounted threaded plug. It holds the sphere in place "invisibly" so that they appear to be "floating". Yes, this is a real-life object.

Here is another view rendered closeup w/ some material changes. This has been running 2hrs @ 2000px wide. 16:9 res. In another 4 hours I should have ~2000s/p and this will be done. I'll post a completed version of this view along with a further out shot later tonight/tomorrow... Your thoughts / suggestions are always appreciated.

Bradley

nice detail putting a image of a photographer in as reflection or putting a 2d image in the scene! eye for detail!
