Playing around a bit.
i7, 12gb RAM
Vista 64, Thea 64.

I stopped this render at exactly 10 minutes using unbiased engine.
IBL lighting, gloss coating and some spec mapping.
No post work.

Modeled with Sketchup.

Hmmmm? I'm stumped now!

I don't know which to admire most, the efforts in studio lighting and camera setup, the great results of Thea's unbiased rendering at that speed OR Pete's unbelieveable skills at modelling with SketchUp.

Ah bugger it 5 stars for all!!!

Solo has done some great scenes but I'm blown away with the characters  and the fact they came from SU makes em even more special..

Great renders Solo. Any chance of seeing a 'biased' render of the models?

Very nice work and render times. :D

These are indeed nice renders... Image

What pleases me the most is that Pete very quickly mastered the Thea material editor...
Materials are - for most users - one of the most tricky part in photo realistic render programs (Pete isn't an exception from this - no offense) yet he's mastering the material creation very well already... :)
