Since i discovered the populate option i always wanted to do something like that but never decided which shape i would like to apply it to, never thought of a human, this is very interesting as a concept but i also like the composition but i think it can be improved placing the legs and cube using the rule of thirds, i find the light sources on the left and right a bit distracting, maybe because all the scene is a complex texture and those two parts are white blobs.
Nice job.

Sweet !! now you just need them as particles and drag a collision force through the boxes.

Thanks for the comments.

Nektares - re the composition you are possibly correct!

This is kind of a sketch for a boid particle animation in blender, using the body as an attractive force. probably with a few different fractal environments.

It is a little more challenging than just populating the canvas!

Definitely work in progress.

Cool! Glad you are continuing with this. Great sense of scale and space. Might be a good submission for the competition if you finish it in time. I've added it to the Vimeo Thea Animation channel.

I know what you mean about Vimeo compression. Ever since they changed the layout the quality of videos (for free accounts) has taken a massive dive. They also force you to watch SD videos on a HD sized player so they look even worse. It's probably to try and encourage people to upgrade to the paid version.

Make sure you look at the quicktime version everyone.
