This is a 1-pass test image of something I'm working on. It's just a fantasy concept thing, so no comments on its actual practicality as a structure please.

Ignore the black areas where the displacement seams don't match up. I'm going to dump the displacement effect anyway. Not doing much for this image.

What sorts of details, either in the modeling, rendering, or post production might you suggest to take this up a notch? I don't think its bad, but I'm not crazy about it yet.

there are several possibilities:
1) you could create an urban setting around the building and add LIFE to the scene....
2) you could maybe set this thing up as a scale model made of plywood or paper mache and giving pretty cool studio setup!

Looking at the image i think you need to approach it by leading the eye towards the building. The foreground is maybe a little imposing and takes away from the impact that i think you want the structure to make, it is blocked by the landscaping.
