Hello everyone, this is my test, I tried to model the blanket, pillows and scarves ... this is definitely for review, :-(, all with sketchup.
I am attaching two pictures were not retouched and have not changed the settings, I only changed render method. What do you think is better? Do you think it justified all this time difference to the result? I try to attach the scene of an external link.

Nice job.

It might be worth adjusting the exposure in the second image to better match the first one - easier to compare and I think would still be a valid comparison.

From the second image, the bump amount on the floorboards might be a bit too high.

I haven't downloaded the (big) scene, so haven't looked at the scarf material. I know the dark shading at the extreme edges and low angles is intentional, giving it that silk reflectance look, but it seems the effect is just a bit too strong. Is there a way to tone down the darkening of the reflectance at the low angles so that it looks a bit less cut and pasted (if you know what I mean).

Was the scarf material done by using a custom Fresnel curve? If so, then I guess just changing that curve a bit might soften it.

Again, nice job.

Thanks guys for the advice and comments. I have left the images thus deliberately to make you see the difference in calculation of the light between the method used to render the first and the second image. But I believe that the 30 hours with TR1 are too numerous compared to 7 hours spent on BSD. I think for scenes of this kind is therefore sufficient to render this method. What do you think?
Now I have changed the scarf and the chair, I just ready to attach the image.

love the fabric on the chair

I think the bump is still to strong on the floor (maybe the walls too) are the floor boards displaced? try turning off normal smoothing if they are, i believe there is a problem with

I like the bedspread model and the texture. What software did you use to model the bedspread, and in particular, how did you go about mapping the texture around it? Especially where it wraps around the near left hand corner (it does a smooth 3-way wrap there).

Hello, sorry for the delayed response. I modeled and mapped with sketchup. Now I found and I'm trying another program, called clo3d, I also opened a discussion but no one spoke .. :-(
