I tested this render using network rendering over 2 quadcore machines.
I let it go all night so not sure when the noise cleared up :)

Nice test though the water still seems pretty noisey for an over nighter on two quads. Maybe too much salt?

Nice test! Soft shadows are subtle. I notice the pool has some noise for a night-over. Is it a flat jpg background you used?

Ahh, makes me want to go for a swim, too bad I'm at work!

The scene looks very good. I'd bet even in biased mode the pool water caustics would take quite a while to compute. They do in Vray at least.

There is a bit of grain, but for an unbiased renderer I am amazed that theres no fireflys.

@Vasco, Its the 2D background.

A small distant lightsource, the Sun, and caustics seen trough a dielectic material is a challenge generally. btw, is that water displaced or bump mapped?

Its displacement with theas procedural noise.
