Since animation is fully supported (and at some point, we will have a relevant preview), one byproduct is motion blur. Thea Render supports true motion blur making your renders feel much more alive.

best wishes

So it will have physical interaction of objects? Say I drop a rubber cube onto the floor, will it bounce correctly? I presume that's the way you got the picture above?

No, there is no interaction between the objects - in a mechanical sense.

best wishes

The development of the plugins for Thea has not yet begun.
Personally I don't see big issues with implementing the rendering of such an animation in a fully integrated version of Sketchup plugin.

Please remember that function in the development of the sketchup plugin.

its a lot of people longing for this possibility in the sketchyphysics forum :P

so far ive been waiting for the new skindigo plugin wich there has been some talk about
would support this, but i dont know when it comes/if it comes.

Cphillips; creator of the sktchyphysics has written an API for export of the sketchyphysics replay function so it shouldnt be to much of an hassle..

cheers

Thank you for showing
Nice examples of motion for static  :D
At second pic, is plastic or glass mat.? and is caustic implementation at shadows of cube and dice too?

maybe boring task, can you show such phys.visuall effects as caustic and dispersion at next preview of engine?

Thanks,
Ilya

I think that Pentti is more relevant to answer the material type of the object.

About showing caustics/dispersion, their moment will arrive soon. ;)

best wishes

Material used in the cubes is simple bulky glass with 1.5 ior. The surface of left hand cube is displaced, for worn out effect and bevel. Glass cubes do projected caustics to the floor (displaced material too), but caustics are relativelly weak, because of the nature of the material. Dispersion was not enabled.
