At this moment, we are still adjusting this special mode - its parameters are
controlled from a special "interactive-render" panel. The mode is not only
for preview purposes, you can also adjust display and save the final image.

In a way, Thea with interactive render could be a whole new product on its own. :)

best wishes

I assume the current version (that is not working, as I can see) will be removed from the 'tools' submenu?

This will be soooo useful: I only wish I'd had it for last week's project. I spent a lot of time making a component within a large model look right (could have isolated the component and exported it, but....)

This is better than great :!: Thank you

that's a big improvement in such short time... no more 'wireframe' scene navigation and very fast response. how well does it cope with reasonably complex interiors? and when geometry is heavy, are there navigation modes that can help speed up camera positioning?

That will be interesting seeing it handle an internal space with lots of rays bouncing around, lots of emitters :)

@Pentti Nice test, I really like seeing the reflection being tweaked, I spend a lot of time doing that, so that will be a huge time saver.
Can we get an idea of rendering speed ? with the same scene reach the same samples ? interactive versus TR2 ?

cheers

This is awesome, congrats to Thea dev. team :D
Now I'm curious about how you could tweak SSS materials in interactive mode ;), this SSS always have been a pain to do for me and this could be the "nirvana".
And I agree with Javadevil, you could show a simple interior space.

Cheers

Correct SSS will require brute force. Perhaps region rendering combined to GPU power will give fast enough response for SSS tinkering. One have to remember that SSS and displacement are two really costly operations.
