Frédéric Yves Moro

Frédéric Yves Moro has joined Thea community only a few months ago, yet, he has produced some stunning renders since the first moment. We are happy to have Frédéric as a featured artist and here is how he describes briefly his workflow:

I am Frédéric Yves Moro, Interior Designer/Contractor, I am French and I live in Vietnam. I use Thea Render since 6 months and I use it to present my design idea and final propositions to my clients. Most of the time, I use SketchUp to build the spaces, the interiors, walls, ceilings, decoration, framing, etc.

What is perfect for me in Thea, is the fact that I can merge 3ds furniture (high poly) and even if the file is huge, I can manage the scene with my i5 laptop. Thus, I am able to make render everywhere in the world, in my hotel room for example.

The interface of Thea is very practical and easy to understand, the material editor too. About the material editor: although Thea supports multi layer materials, at the moment, I mostly go with simple materials; diffuse, reflection and adding bump.

Very important point, and surely the best one, is that, in a few seconds, I can save in the libraries new materials and furnitures for future use. For my renders, I always use TR1 preset (unbiased mode) with dominant sun sky lighting (as provided by the render engine).

I like Thea!!!
